Where to start when I have so much flying around in my brain trying to get some cohesive ideas in train.
Firstly in the studio started off with the creative word exercise, yesterday's post, which was interesting as it brought up a lot of the ambiguities in the words and the possibilities of cross referencing these. Maybe need to do this daily by choosing 5 - 8 random words from the list of Haberdas and then repeating the exercise.
After that stuck up the photos which I had taken from the collection last week. Grouped them mostly by colour and instinct and then cut out frames in the remaining canvas to see if this would bring out any other aspects which I had not notices.
Realise I need to get more exercised in my looking which I have allowed to lapse over the last year. Will not look at these photos and play with them in photoshop today.

I ran out of puff and so did a really quick sketch with one of the framed images created a rather ironic take on the main elements including the duck transfers. Could take this further and do some more quick colour sketches to see what arises. Only problem or not was that from the board to the desk I couldn't see the detail. Maybe this is not the problem maybe I just need to flex those looking memory muscles some more.
EXPLODING APPENDIX
Joined an evening with Exploding Appendix a really eclectic mix of artists and academics listening to Prof. Annabella Pollen being questioned by Bradley on her various books and studies over the last 20 years. The interesting thing was that the questions were very academic mostly quotes from her books but Bella's answers were personal, anecdotal, storytelling of her personal interests and obsessions.
Altogether a very enjoyable experience and I will go back to this diverse group as it is good to be in that environment of thinking, doing, Avant Gard group.
